Location: Zoom ONLY – In light of the restrictions that are placed on the number of people who can be a room safely, the challenges of providing prepackaged meals, and concern and care for one another in the Covid-19 environment we are living in, we’ve decided to hold our monthly meetings via zoom until conditions dictate otherwise.
The speaker for the October meeting will be Professor Marianne Glaser from Clemson University. Marianne is a graduate of Clemson where she received her bachelor’s degree in graphic communication and master’s degree in professional communications. After working several years in corporate sales, Marianne returned to Clemson University with the Department of Communication. As a Senior Lecturer, she is in her 16th year and teaches between 400-500 students every semester. Her emphasis areas are public speaking, communication apprehension, multimodal communication, and architecture communication. Marianne feels Christ gave her passion to serve and love college students both on and off of campus. We have asked her to speak on how she has sought to appropriately and boldly live our her faith at a public university. An abstract is below.
Abstract: “All In with Jesus” shares how her faith is intertwined with her position on campus, some of the push back she has received after identifying as a Christian, and how she has trusted the Lord through it all.
