Father Anthony Salzman, along with being a Orthodox priest, is a Byzantine Iconographer. Through the years he has painted many icons that have graced the walls of churches and sanctuaries across the U.S. His talk is entitled “Theology in Color-the art of the Early Church.” He will talk about the theology of icons, their historical development, the role they play in worship in the Orthodox Church and a brief discussion on how they are painted.
