Topic: The State of Community-Police Relations: Perspectives in Black and White with Resulting Implications in Red.
Details: Dr. Williams’ expertise and research is in areas such as law enforcement, co-production of public safety and public order, and community policing efforts within racial and ethnic communities. His talk will share the different experiences and resulting perspectives that people have of the police and police have of the public. As a follower of Jesus, he’ll also explore what’s going on with this relationship from a biblical perspective (i.e. what is written in black and white) with special emphasis on what Christ has to say (what is written in red in some Bibles).
