Date: Wednesday, October 1, 2025
Time: 12:30-1:30
Location: Tate 480
The next Christian Faculty Forum meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 1st, from 12:30 to 1:30 in Tate 480 (note: this is just down the hall from our regular meeting room). We will have the opportunity to hear from John Stonestreet, the president of the Colson Center for Christian Worldview. Chuck Colson was in the Nixon White House and was sentenced to prison as part of the Watergate scandal. In the midst of this, he came to Christ and his life was radically changed. He started Prison Fellowship to help bring redemption to the prison system and the Colson Center to help people see and comprehend all reality through a biblical worldview. Chuck actually spoke to our group in the early 2000’s when on campus to visit a couple of grandchildren who went to school at UGA.
John Stonestreet is the daily voice of Breakpoint, the nationally syndicated commentary on the culture founded by the late Chuck Colson. John was mentored by Chuck and became the president of the Colson Center after Chuck’s death. He has co-authored five books including A Practical Guide to Culture and Restoring All Things. Before coming to the Colson Center in 2010, John served in various leadership capacities with Summit Ministries and was on the biblical studies faculty at Bryan College (TN). John will address the importance of having a biblical worldview and the “cultural commission” we have to influence our campus, community, and world.
Note: We will meet in the room as normal for lunch and conversation, but John will join us from Colorado via Zoom. After he speaks, we will have an opportunity to interact with him via Q&A.
A light lunch will be provided to everyone who sends in their RSVP by 5 pm, Tuesday, September 3oth, by filling out the form below. If you plan to attend but don’t need a lunch provided, please RSVP and indicate that as well.
