Speaker: Dr. Mike Licona, Risen Jesus Ministry
Mike has a Ph.D. in New Testament (University of Pretoria) and completed all requirements “with distinction” and the highest marks. He formed Risen Jesus ministry in 1997 (formerly TruthQuest Ministry until 2001 when the name changed) with a vision of equipping Christ followers to share their faith through the evidence for Jesus’ resurrection.
Topic: Can We Trust the Reliability of the Gospels?
Abstract: Alleged contradictions in the Gospels is a frequent objection to their being historically reliable sources about Jesus. In his lecture, Dr. Licona will discuss what it means for an ancient account to be historically reliable, provide five criteria ancient literature must fulfill to pass the test then focus on two or three of those criteria.”
