January 13, 2021 – Dr. Paul Gould

Date: Wednesday, January 13, 2021

Time: 12:30-1:30

Location: Zoom ONLY – In light of the restrictions that are placed on the number of people who can be a room safely, the challenges of providing prepackaged meals, and concern and care for one another in the Covid-19 environment we are living in, we’ve decided to hold our monthly meetings via zoom until conditions dictate otherwise.

The speaker for our first meeting of 2021 will be Dr. Paul Gould. His topic is Cultural Apologetics (abstract below).

Dr. Gould is an Associate Professor of Philosophy of Religion and the Director of the M.A. in Philosophy of Religion at Palm Beach Atlantic University. In addition, he is the founder and president of the Two Tasks Institute and a  past (2019-2020) Visiting Fellow at the Henry Center for Theological Understanding at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.

Paul earned his Masters in Philosophy of Religion and Ethics from Talbot School of Theology and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Purdue University.

Abstract: Cultural Apologetics is working to renew the Christian voice, conscience, and imagination so that the Gospel is seen as true and satisfying. I’ll explore how we arrived at this disenchanted moment, what this means for gospel witness in this day and age, and how we might join with God and each other to re-enchant the world.

We will provide the Zoom link to everyone who sends in a RSVP by Tuesday, January 12, by 10 pm. You can RSVP by filling out the form below.
