The next Christian Faculty Forum monthly meeting will be held Thursday, November 3, with Prof. Randy Beck as our speaker. Randy is the Justice Thomas O. Marshall Chair of Constitutional Law at the UGA School of Law. His topic will be Integrating Christian faith with the practice of law (abstract below). The meeting will be held in Tate 473 from 12:30-1:30 (Note: the start time is 15 minutes earlier than the past year but the meeting will still be limited to 1 hour).
Abstract: This topic will be integrating Christian faith with the practice of law. We’ll look at the Babylonian captivity as a biblical model for thinking through questions of calling or vocation. While Randy will focus on advice he gives students entering the legal profession, the principles we’ll discuss could be equally helpful to Christian students in other disciplines.
