November 7, 2024 – Dr. Sean McDowell

Date: Thursday, November 7th

Time: 12:30-1:30

Location: Tate 473

The next meeting of the Christian Faculty Forum will be held on Thursday, November 7, from 12:30 to 1:30 in Tate 473 with Dr. Sean McDowell as our speaker. Sean is an Associate Professor in the Christian Apologetics program at Talbot School of Theology, Biola University. He is the co-host for the Think Biblically podcast, which is one of the most popular podcasts on faith and cultural engagement. Sean’s topic will be largely cultural apologetics driven. He’ll answer a couple of questions related to current issues that would be helpful for professors and university staff to be aware of and how to answer questions related to those issues from a biblical worldview. Then he’ll spend the rest of the time answering questions from the audience.

Since Sean lives and teaches in California, he will join us via Zoom; however, we will continue to meet in person to enjoy relationships with others on campus. If you are unable to attend in person, a Zoom link will be provided for you to join if you let Buz know under the “choose one” option below.

A light lunch will be provided to everyone who sends in their RSVP by 5 pm, Wednesday, November 6, by filling out the form below. If you plan to attend but don’t need a lunch provided, please RSVP and indicate that as well. You can also let Buz know you want the zoom link on the RSVP if you are unable to attend in person.

Sean is the author, co-author, or editor of over twenty books including The Fate of the Apostles, So The Next Generation Will Know (with J. Warner Wallace), Evidence that Demands a Verdict (with Josh McDowell), Is God Just a Human Invention? (with Jonathan Morrow) and Understanding Intelligent Design (with William A. Dembski). As the son of author and speaker Josh McDowell, Sean has been exposed to years of research, information, and scholars that uniquely helps him in defending the faith he deeply embraces.
