Our speaker will be Virgil Walker. He is the Vice President of Ministry Relations at G3 Ministries. G3 Ministries has the mission of educating, encouraging, and equipping local churches with sound Biblical theology. They accomplish this through conferences, workshops, international tours, book publishing, and a wide variety of online resources. In addition, Virgil provides commentary and input on the Just Thinking Podcast with Darrel Harrison. Virgil Walker and Darrell Harrison have co-authored three books, Just Thinking About the State, Just Thinking About Ethnicity, and Why Are You Afraid?
His topic will be “Rethinking Education as Discipleship: The sacrificial life of Christian educators in light of our calling to make disciples.” Once we acknowledge that education is a form of discipleship, we realize that those who guide and mentor others must be willing to wholeheartedly embrace the responsibility of standing up for truth, regardless of the sacrifices required.
