The 40 days preceding Easter is a period that the church has called Lent. Often identified as a period of doing without something, it is much more than that. However, within the different Christian traditions varying degrees of emphasis have been placed on Lent. Dr. Tom Lawrence and Dr. Keith Delaplane will share with us the history, purposes, and practices of Lent that might be unknown to many of us.
